As scarce as the buck lately is, many have sold their soul to the cost of an entire nation.
“failing one at this point means failing all.” We have all blindly pursued a bandwagon along with one who needs to settle a personal grudge even if it means mulling the entire nation. How satisfying?
Unless we look at the bigger picture and put aside the bickering, we shall forever sink in the name of settling a political grudge, proving a point and not considering the fact that there is a rather urgent need for a change of the status quo.
“This is how the nation has been running since the beginning of time.” Yes, that's true and the very reason we are sinking. Let's not expect it to get any better unless we are willing to let those with a new perspective try their shot at it. ‘only a fool does the same thing and expects different results’ and we are not that. No amount of money is worth an entire nation and neither is a nation run the same way. Better can come in so many other ways.
Let's not just talk about freedom, we need to be free and act like we are because that's what we are or else we are in for more surprises and worse shall surely come.
“great nations are not built by favourites.” No nation was founded by the sole effort of one. If you cannot account for a contribution or otherwise, but are rather depending on empathy, hearsay and rather settling scores on behalf of someone else, please sit back and let those that are charged with making the nation better take their shot at it in peace.
Throwing stones at them, casting blame for fear of the unknown does affect you more than it does them. It further reveals how free we claim to be yet speak otherwise.
How far can money in one man’s pocket take them?
I hope “those that hold the national reserves in their back pockets" have everything and better still, peace of mind. Getting rid of one you don't like will always get us head on with ten more that are worse than them. Let us get reasonable. Just like you cannot please everyone (not even an ice cream vendor does) that does not hold back diversity and its many colours both beautiful and ugly.
Money may give us some power but truthfully not everything. You don't have to love your boss to work well with them unless you're not passionate about your little contribution while at it. Change does not begin at the top, it begins with you.
You may not appreciate their style, just give them a shot.
It's a long personal opinion indeed.
If we want to see a great America, we all have to exceed our own expectations. If you want to see a great America, be the great America. Let it start with you.
Brick by brick
Taking reference from the different memorials and monuments that are vivid indications of great milestones reached through great sacrifice by many leaders, business persons, influencers and citizens of this great country. You did not have to share their ideology for them to add a brick to the structures that hold this great nation in its place.
You do not have to be a freemason to commend the society for the great infrastructure that many still marvel about and use. it all counts as contribution to the bigger picture.
Can we try to see beyond our noses?
Hold it right there. We all need to slow down a little.
Are we seeking absolution?
The fact that we all have history should be the basis for this discussion but it is not for more reasons than one.
Are we so blinded by guilt to such a point that we casting blame at anything that is not defined by our biases, inclinations and expectations the way we want?
We all are to blame for all the precious time we have wasted pursuing an idea rather than looking out for our great nation. This has affected not just you but the people in your social circles, country and world at large.
Question**, how do you determine that someone is going to take the nation behind before they begin?**
Unless one of us has got a conspiracy theory not shared better still fact not shared.
Could we be blindly following a bandwagon that is based on myth rather than fact?
Whose interests are we seconding to the detriment of an entire nation?
Every rock thrown may hit or miss the target but will still land and you know well who is down below.
Could we just be seeking relevance?
Ok, now that we have both the attention and curiosity of everyone, are we just going to do what we do best. Act like nothing just happened and then find another prominent figure to cling to?
when to do we get to stand for what we believe in?
Truth (not just a part of it)
Justice
Equality, its easier to say and expect from others without having to contribute yet it affects you too.
Fairness; not for the majority, not to emulate the status quo but fairness as is the original meaning of this word.
Ridiculing someone to get ahead may only get us some attention and perhaps 15 minutes of fame but then that does not reduce that person to anything less than they are. Infact, most of them will gain much more after you have been shaken off and you shall be another just like many before.
There's always a better way.
Not everyone is convinced. People are not blind. Everyone has the opportunity to fact check and look for inconsistencies in any claims one makes many may not mention this to your face but you also know what happens to any source whose facts do not line up.
How articulate can one be when their source of relevance is at the peril of another person's career?
"The world is not supposed to be fair." Yeah right, we have heard that but is it not fairness we seeking here?
Let us get this straight. No one is going to give us all that we need at our individual levels. No one.
We have got to get out and be the greatness we are trying to ask from those who are busy being great for themselves and or making the nation great.

When you lead a particular life style and are surrounded by the same kind of people with your kind of reasoning, it is seldom easy to presume that the 7 billion people on earth all do reason the same way and see thing through the same lens like you do thus you expect them to respond just like you do and that surprisingly is not the case.
The same case goes to any trend you will always find people making faces all in dis belief when you let them know that you had no idea social media was trending. Did you know there are people who do not subscribe to any form of social media?
This should clearly help us explain the myth of ‘the healthy leaf.’ It is very easy for a healthy leaf to assume that it is the reason the entire tree is, and without it the tree has no means of subsistence simply because it lacks the eyes to see that there are so many just like it hanging from the same tree and maybe have the same reasoning. The ultimate surprise comes when the seasons change, it gets too cold and the same blind leaf has to be shed. The tree still remains and blossoms another maybe better set of leaves in its place.
Hey reader, you are simply a leaf, you may have a contribution you make in your different capacity, but so does the root. The tree may look pleasing because of you (all green and healthy), the roots down below are hardly seen but they leave longer that you do.
As people of influence, we usually have the conviction that our opinion will be taken the way we want it to, that people will believe us simply because they follow us, simply because they appreciated something we did earlier, get this right “that was then” the same people that applauded you shall be the same that will share there induvial opinions when it is your turn on the dissecting table. This however should not stop you from sharing your honest opinion whenever you have one just keep on thing in mind. Just because you can, that does not mean that you should. An opinion is like a nose everybody has one I say this again.
You being popular does not mean you reason much better.
You having a voice does not mean you should shout in every ear.
You do not have to respond to every chant even when it is your name being chanted.
“even a fool is considered wise when they keep their mouths shut” not my words.
Always remember, the majority Do Not Have Means. Not everyone can afford cable let alone a television set when there are urgent bills to settle. The majority of people out there are struggling to make ends meet they do not have the luxury of time for so many things that may make real sense to us.
Look at it this way, the lot that has time and actually uses the platforms we use the most are the millennials who may be a little more than half the population we are trying to influence and guess what more than half of the millennials are below the decision-making age. While those with the absolute power are fishing or fighting to make ends meet.
Let us make an estimate, lets use your followers in relation to the total global population.
- How many of them are from your country?
- How many of your followers from your country are millennials?
- Of the millennials, how may are above 17 years of age? Even with the underscore, we still have quite a percentage that will read comment but do nothing. Until when they can.
