Today I cried

03.00am early this morning, in the eerie silence my eyes gave way.
This morning I cried about the one thing I cannot control,
This cold morning I cried because for the nth time my heart missed you dearly,
This morning I cried because missed everything; you, your laughter, jokes ,voice and more.
This morning I cried because I realized I wanted (us)more  than you,
This morning I cried because my suspicions were correct though ignored,
This one morning I cried because I realized it was time to let go.
This morning I wished I was that someone else, the one you crave

Today I woke up with the world on my mind but Instead prayed for you;
Today I realized it was all in my head,
Today I realized my dignity ended with you,
Today I felt so unworthy,
Today I questioned why I can never get it right,
Today I realized I was in a tide, drowning and not sure how I got there or how to get out,
Today I realized why many build concrete walls around  their hearts,
Today the song ‘where do broken hearts go’ has been playing so loudly on repeat in my head;
Today I wanted to tell my best  friend about you, It hurts that I do not know how to start.

Now I am asking the Lord to never let me go through this again,
Now I am asking Him to let me know If love is in my destiny so that I accept it or leave it alone,
Now I am asking the Lord to align my heart with my head,
Now I am asking the Lord for complete healing from all this baggage.
At 3:00am this morning i woke up feeling lost and alone; I cried!

Yes, you are the reason I cried.
