Red eyed Phoenix called sparrow.
Till I walked through a wooden allay and all of a sudden she was quiet just after a very sudden, loud and uncomfortable thud. Looked back behind me and right there rested a large dark block with a few feathers appearing over its edges.
One would think its a stone but not the way it was textured and neither was it from within the alley as no structure around had anything similar or related to the object that had crushed the life out of her.
“I have killed her, she is dead! Why did I let her follow after me?” I thought to myself while looking at this dull ‘thing’ I could not define that had killed my friend.
Like a small sparrow, all her feathers had been clipped by this thing. To me she had been crushed to pulp only to witness a life transforming spectacle. There she arose right in front of me that track nearly lost consciousness.
The ‘thing' then turned to dust, had taken everything I had known about her but not her life this a thought among many run through my head. She however seemed more free and had become much bigger. Not just like a sparrow this time round.
If only truth could fluidly flow through us, if only gratitude was tangible but not bought.
If mankind could only learn to stop and take a deep breathe, you could be in a much better place. I was locked in there, confused. Just like you are.
From the dirt, she forged her way. Through the dust she had forced her way up. Flapping her long flexible wings in slow but comfortable swings.
She made flying seem easy.
I would try if only I had wings
All the dust stormed through her fluffs with one hard shake and back into position she settled again.
Seemed like she was flying yet stationery.
Hope it was not my mind playing games with me this time. “Could it have been all this while?”
Blood red with double beaded though small eyes not for one to easily tell unless they observed her closely, she had long large sickle shaped talons too big and heavy for her rather small self. Sparrow was covered in a large and long red feather coat you'd comfortably hand to a peacock and they’d be grateful, she there for looked much like a peacock painted blood red with over sized wings.
Glowing is an understatement, yet she had just moulded herself from dirt and ashes and now all she is doing is flap her wings and stare straight at me.
I did not mind her at first since that's not my trade and as usual one can only have a handful at any given moment in time this being one of them.
“I’m not your enemy.” I cannot be even if it was the only choice. I have just witnessed you evolve to something different, something special and a lot bigger than my forever love for spring.
Not that I have to like you since you just took her place, but for the sake of her profound memory, and maybe now that I may have a home for you if you like it and she’s not locked in there somewhere with you.
This got uncomfortable though when I noticed the same phenomenon was not being seen by every one else despite it’s magnanimity and shine. Then the odd look she gave me got me bothered much more.
And this is how sparrow caught my attention. I had no idea what to expect or do with her as she kept following my every step. Sparrows do not follow after people and one ought to see at least a few more after a while of having seeing one around.
She makes rather uncomfortable sound that you would still not give a sparrow as you and I know the sound they make so to my discomfort, my question book kept growing with every moment she stole some of my attention and then a bit of my curiosity.
Couldn't let me look to certain directions nor do, say or touch certain things along the way.
Of course her rising right in front of me stated, we were going the wrong way so i headed..
