Before you tried, while you were living your life the best way you know how, I saw you, I noticed something about you, I desired something about you, something I loved and desired that it be added to my life. That something about you; Maybe not you the person but the person in you that left me guessing and asking myself 1000 questions.
Cards were put on table, odds played out with all my weight on my best leg stretched forward and now, you and I have each other for better or worse
Darling, my heart has never settled in its place since you told me, “you are trying too much." That bombshell left me with more questions than answers;
My fresh red rose blossom moistened by the morning dew of your best morning in spring, Why then are you trying?
Don't you think that in trying, you are losing the you that I saw and liked then?
What are you trying so hard for that you did not even see coming in the first place. You have no idea where this started and you trying may lead you where you may not want to end.

While you were still you, I longed, desired, fought and beat all odds to be with you. To take at least a breath in the same bubble you live in. I found no peace until they got you and now I long to take every breath like I did the first one.
Where have you gotten the idea that I do not have peace now that I have you in my life? You have gotten restless; plotting and scheming, trying and striving. You are throwing out bits and pieces of the mould that holds our gem together, I am not at all perfect but I can see you adopting my ways. I certainly do not need a copy of me; "would you like to stay with someone who is just like you?" I can see this question bounce through the chambers of your fragile mind. Baby, it's the differences between you and i that brought us together. Dropping them will mean frustrating the bond we share.

This may sound wired, but allow me to clarify that 'expectations,' are not met without consequence.
All I ever wanted from the moment my eyes saw you was the person you are and now that I have you, you are expecting me to live my life by spinning your world.
Just like me, you have grown up to this age without me and along the way you have made decisions, choices, made sacrifices that have natured the person I love so much and beat all odds to get. You have built yourself a life support system through your life time and now you expecting me to run it for you?
Keep that system together and it shall attract many that appreciate it. Do not rest it on the shoulders of one that has one of their own. To them it shall be a burden a weight they will shake off and carry on with their own.
You have my absolute support without question though I would rather we focus our expectations on making us better individuals that complement and make each other better and not try to fit into a mould that may not sustain our individual support systems.
You are the best version of you and that is the main reason I have you in my life. Loosing you will mean losing everything with and about you. The longer you keep you, I have no reason to look else were. Just remain that gem that lights up my world, the scent that takes my breath away, the lady of mystery worth a lifetime of adventure, the soul I gave up the rest of the world to make mine.
